Breanna Hummitzsch
Head Coach
Hi, my name is Bre! I am 28 and this is my fourth year as head coach for the WAVE. I am a 6th-grade teacher in the off-season and have been coaching swim for 7 years now. I have coached at several clubs and was competitive for 16 years. I am a breaststroker and an IMer and prefer to get the technique correct rather than just swim laps. My theory is, “it doesn’t matter where you start, it matters where you finish” because hard work always pays off. I can’t wait for another fun and competitive season!
Damien Padilla

My name is Damien Padilla and I have been coaching in SCV for over 10 years. I am 31 years old and have been an instructor and Coach at Canyons Aquatic Club and Academy Swim Club. For 4 years I have managed the pool and swim team Juniors at Paseo Aquatics. I now work in the film industry as an actor and director. I am a freestyler primarily and occasionally partake in IM. I find that relating to each child differently and celebrating their differences is what makes happy swimmers. I look forward to meeting you!

I'm excited to be back as a coach this year! I've swam with Canyons for 10 years was also a varsity swimmer at West Ranch. I'm really happy to return and I will see you all on deck soon!
